H & M...

So I know you guys have heard about H&M already, but if you haven't... prepared to have your mind blown. You ready?

H&M has ONLINE SHOPPING!!!! And I am so exited. Being all the way in West Texas, we have a limited availability of stores to choose from, so I tend to resort to online shopping a lot. Now I can add H&M to my long list. But... there is also another surprise. H&M is having a promotion in honor of the new addition of online shopping. It's called 50 States Of Fashion.

  • Upload a photo of your stylish self on Instagram using the hashtag #HMshoponline(Your State Initials Here) for a chance to win a $250 H&M gift card (if selected as one of the 5 finalist) or the grand prize of a trip to NYC and shopping spree of $1,000 to H&M .
  • So if you're from Texas like me, you would Instagram using the hastag #HMshoponlineTX
  • Also be sure to visit the site to browse the gallery of entries, “like” your favorite looks and sign up for fashion news to receive a special online discount from H&M.  (official contest rules here)

Just so you have a better idea of the contest.
I doubt I'll enter, but I am grateful.

My Name Sake...

Keeping up with my Nigerian theme for designers, I have stumbled upon a lot of inspiration for a few of my next DIY's, when ever I have the time. But on my quest for new designers, I found Funmilayo Deri. I'm not sure if it's because her cloths are so much fun, or for the fact that she is my name sake, but I do love her work. Personally, I'm not sure I would wear her pieces, maybe if I live some where like New York or Paris, but they are still fun to look at and dream. They are simply too much for little old Lubbock. But come December, I will be breaking out of here (fingers crossed, InshaAllah).

Her style is glamorous and elegant but not overly serious. Most of her pieces seem modern, with a feminine twist in an unconventional way. I love they patterns and fabrics that she uses. You can see this girl has an eye for simple detail.

Alaia Rose Barbier

I swear this little girl is the cutest thing I have ever laid eyes on. This beauty hasn't even reached 3 yet, and she's setting and breaking trends left and right. I can only imagine how fabulous she will be when she grows older. We see where her mother gets it from. Monica Rose is one of Hollywood's most respected stylist. The exceptionally fashionable toddler Alaia and her mommy have become an inspiration to all parents that are trying spruce up their kids' style in a way that is chic and age appropriate.

This gorgeous beauty was crowned as LA's Most Stylish Kid last year, and I see why. It is a well deserved title for a little fashionista like that. Check her out.

It's that year...

There is always some point in time where everyone in my family gets married around the same time. I guess it's that point in life where all my cousins thinking it's time to settle down. I've had 2 get married in the past year, and 3 are planning to get married at some point this year. Will all this wedding talk around me (and trying to throw my own suggestions out there) I find myself obsessed with wedding gowns. So when I stumbled upon Ersa Atelier, I fell in love with the French lace and had to share. I personally would probably not wear any of these gowns because I would look like a little kids. The theme is "The stuff of fairy tales." However, you cannot deny their beauty.

This is my favorite.
