Man Of the Month: June
Man Of the Month is to showcase men who are doing their thing and look good doing it. That is one thing I truly noticed in this month's feature, Tim Salau. If you ask anyone, they would describe him as driven and focused. Something that his peers tend to lack at his age. Maybe that is what caught my eye. This Sophomore Psychology major at Texas Tech University is a Houston native, but is of Nigerian decent. We can already tell that he may not be there, but this man is destined for great things. Let's take a peek inside the mind behind the man.
KA: Who is Tim Salau?
TS: Tim is an individual. Tim is me to keep it short
KA: And if you had put it long?
TS: I would describe myself as a consistent person who has a lot of insight on a day to day basis.
KA: What is your passion?
TS: To be successful. In every perspective. Not only financially, but spiritually as well. Stability means a lot to me. If I can have a well balanced front in everything in my life, I would say that describes my passion to be successful in life.
KA: What contribution do you think you make to the world?
TS: I don't think I've made a contribution yet. I think I've effected a lot of things but as far as a contribution, on a global level, I think that's another thing. And I don't think I've gotten there yet. I hold that to a higher stance.
KA: Where do you find inspiration?
TS: My family, my church family, the possibilities of my future, music, art, and random observation.
KA: How would you describe your style?
TS: I would describe it as growth. Very simplistic, but yet not common at all. Its flexible. There are a lot of things I peep out in the fashion world and I try to incorporate all styles, all perspectives. I'm an open individual.
KA: Since you say you're an open individual, dating wise, what's going on with that?
TS: Dating wise, no girl has to fit the perfect mold. I feel like not a lot of girls keep it real. I also feel like a lot of girl don't know what they want. That causes me to be very picky when it comes to women. I'm the type for commitment, but recently I've let that go in replacement for consistency.

The Human Barbie...
People take so much time picking and prodding themselves just so they can look nice, but never truly end up satisfied. One thing that drives me crazy is when someone is gorgeous as they are, and then makes themselves worse because feel like there is some type of mold they have to fit into.
Take the human barbie for example. Her name is Valeria Lukyanova and she is from Russia. She had a lot of plastic surgery done so she could acieve the perfect "Barbie" look. And she's no alone. Olga Oleynik also went under the knife to achieve the same thing
I have no idea what these girls were thinking. Are we that fixated on our outer appearance that we have to result to such drastic measures? They are not alone. There is one man, Justin Jedica, who has been striving to look like a real life Ken. They don't even look real. If I saw them on the street, I'd probably take off running. Just take a look.
What is the world coming to? I have no idea.
