First Day of School...

Yesterday was my last first day of school of my undergraduate career. I was happy to see everyone, loved my classes, and enjoyed spending time with my friends. But I was still sad because it's finally starting to set in that I'm actually graduating. In exactly 30 days, I'll be turning 21. I feel old and accomplished. But hey, it's all apart of growing up. Everyday is one step closer to me accomplishing my dreams.

Apparently I looked decent yesterday. Thank goodness I was running late and didn't have time to iron what I really wanted to wear. This outfit received a lot compliments. Thanks guys. I'm happy to know that I can get dressed in 3 mins and still look good. I guess with the right wardrobe, it can happen everyday. At least my nail polish matched the outfit.

Scandal...

I know everyone has been raving about the hit show Scandal on ABC. It is enticing. I felt like a loser when my mom and dad were talking about it and I had never seen an episode. I get caught up in my own life. But once I watched my first episode, I was hooked. I cannot wait for season 3 airing October 3rd.

My love for Scandal isn't only because of the fast paced and exhilarating drama that takes place, nor all the gorgeous men packed into one screen, nor the incredible life that Olivia Pope lives, nor Kerry Washington's amazing acting skills. What keeps me hooked is her wardrobe. I am simply obsessed. She dresses like high powered woman, who is still quite fashionable, but doesn't really follow the rules. Very rare do you see someone in that atmosphere dressed the way she is. And not only does she look amazing, the rest of her cast took a few pointers. I am in love with Harrison. Take a look for yourself.

 

Basma K...

I am definitely obsessed with Basma K's style. So many times I hear about Muslim women struggling between being modest and fashionable at the same time. I love how she is super modest, but is still fashionable and stylish at the same time.  Let's take a few pointers from this gorgeous hijabi.
