Poetry Night...

In the little town to Lubbock, there isn't much to do, so I was extremely excited when the National Society of Black Engineers put on a poetry night at Royal Palace. Who knew there was so much talent in this little old town? Any way, I felt inspired to get all dressed up. The turn out wasn't so great, but it's something new to do on Thursday nights. People have to get warmed up. At least it's something that I can look forward to getting dressing up for.

As I was in the middle of taking pictures, I received 2 random visitors who wanted to join the photo shoot. It made my day honestly. The first visitor was a black cat that started to follow me home. If only my roommate wasn't so afraid of them. The second visitor was some random dude driving by, who stopped his car in the middle of the road, jumped out, left the car running and door open so he could take a picture with me. His pick up line was "Damn, I couldn't pass up a chance to take a picture with something sexy like that." My roommate and I were laughing all the way home.
